I was asked the question “What is your favorite nude resort or campground” My reply was “Oh that would be…..” and then I paused. Hmmmm . And I thought and thought some more. It was then that I realized that I couldn’t pick one and say that it was my favorite. They all had something unique and special about them.
One thing they ALL have in common is the people. Oh they may look different, and they may sound different depending on where you are, but they are the same. The people are the kindest and warmest people on earth. It sort of makes me laugh a little bit, because there is always someone there that reminds me of someone that I met somewhere else.
Up here in New York State we are fortunate to have a lot of locations that we can go, and the only bad thing is that our season is so short. We do have some groups that maintain some winter activities such as swims, bowling, or pot lucks at people’s homes. Once you get to know people in the area there is never a shortage of things to do.
Probably one of my most visited is Juniper Woods in Catskill, NY. It’s a great place where you can fish, swim, or just relax. No frills here just Upstate mountain beauty. The thing I like is how natural it is, and the feeling of being connected to nature. It’s a great feeling!
Heading over to Palmerton, Pa is Sunny Rest Resort. They have a great pool and activities. I like that they have a little night life there, despite the name sounding a little like a retirement home. They have a great outdoor bar and music to enjoy. They have a great staff and fabulous rooms that were spotless upon our arrival.
White Tail Resort is in Ivor Virginia. What is NOT to like about this place. It is a jewel on the East Coast. They have a wonderful restaurant. The food is fabulous. I think I eat better there than anywhere. They have two pools one inside used year round and a HUGE outdoor pool used through the warmer months. The hall is spacious and a great place to gather. You will never have to worry about not having enough to do. By far the thing that struck me was the amount of youths there, which is great for us because the kids have made many friends there.
Avalon is in Paw Paw, West Virginia. What a place! You can enjoy their beautiful pools and restaurant, and in the cooler weather sit by the big stone fireplace, as well as great Condos and rooms for overnight stays. Now here is the unique part. They have a nudcino that’s right a casino on property where you can be a naked gambler and win some cash!
Cedar Creek is in Pelion South Carolina, and they have an absolutely gorgeous piece of property! They have trails for walks and two pools to swim. Personally I loved the creek that runs along the property that has the coolest, cleanest, most refreshing water flowing through it. It is a natural “lazy river” that you can float down on rafts or tubes. At one end there is a dock and a nice large and deep swimming hole. This was the best and we loved it, of course it was the kid’s favorite thing to do.
Solaire in Woodstock Ct. Was our first place we went, and they have a wonderful place as well. Volley ball and tennis are taken very serious here, so be ready for some stiff competition. The pool is great and the hot tub is too, but my favorite place to sun and have a beverage was the perfect sandy beach that ran a good bit of a large pond. Across the pond are these beautiful rock ledges that charged command of your view. You can canoe, or use the paddle boat, the kids on the other hand would rather get a group of kids and float away on a Viking ship (that’s what I said…a Viking ship).
I could go on and on because there are many great things and great places out there full of fabulous people that will be glad to socialize with you! Get out there and pay these places a visit. I hope to hear that you enjoyed it as much as we have!
